The Hypercom® ICETM 5700 combines check
reading and processing into one easy-to-use,
space-saving POS terminal. It magnetically
reads the MICR line at the bottom of checks
which increases the speed and accuracy of
transactions.
Supports
Multiple Check Processors
The ICE 5700 supports dial-up to multiple
check processors to verify checks against
negative files or check guarantees using
positive on-line authorizations. Check
truncation can also be supported as an
option, converting expensive paper-based
processes into cost-saving electronic
transactions. The ICE 5700 has a very high
success rate of reading checks, even if they
are damaged.
Full-Function, Web-Enabled Terminal
As a full-function, Web-enabled ICE
terminal, the 5700 delivers all the
capabilities of the ICE 5500. It is based on
Hypercom’s advanced ePOS-infocommerce
architecture and provides simultaneous card
reader support for smart cards and magnetic
stripe cards, electronic signature and
receipt capture (ERC), virtual store
hosting, e-mail, electronic bank statements,
touch-screen graphic display, onscreen
advertising, electronic couponing and
loyalty programs. The 9600 bps Hypercom
FastPOS® modem has the fastest dial-up
capability in the industry which
significantly lowers transaction costs and
the fast, removable thermal printer with
optional paper cutter reduces paper jams.
